NewsSeptember, 1 Ariana Grande Swaps Heels for Comfort After Foot Injury
Ariana Grande is trading her usual high heels for something more comfortable at the last two concerts of her The Eternal Sunshine Tour. In an Instagram Stories post on Monday, the singer told fans she had recently hurt her foot and would be wearing "cosy footwear" for her performances at The O2 Arena in London this week. "My sweet petals, I wanted to let you know I will need to be in cozy footwear for this evening's show (and possibly tomorrow's) as I am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury," she wrote. "It is not a sprain or anything muscular but just a deep cut!" Grande reassured fans there was no need to worry. "So when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why!" the 33-year-old continued. "But please do not fret. On with the show and I am on the mend!" She also thanked concertgoers for their support, adding, "I cannot wait to perform for you tonight and tomorrow (even if I am a few inches shorter than usual)... I love you always." Grande will wrap up the tour with a final show on Tuesday night. As previously announced, she will then take a break from performing. "Human beings can need a break sometimes," she said at a concert in Chicago, Illinois in early August. "No matter what noises exist out there, nothing will ever be able to distort my reality or be more real to me or louder to me than this love that we share in this room. Or how it feels to make art with the people that I love and respect. Absolutely nothing will change that or distort that for me." This has been a busy year for Grande: she promoted her film Wicked: For Good in late 2025, launched the tour in June, and released her eighth studio album, Petal, at the end of July.
