NewsSeptember, 2 Miley Cyrus Announces New Album Bass Persuades
Miley Cyrus has announced her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, which will be released on 18 September. The singer shared the news on Instagram after teasing it for the past week. In her post, Cyrus described the meaning behind the title: “Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.” She also thanked her fans for their support, saying, “Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album.” The 33-year-old, who now goes by just Miley on social media, previously told Wonderland magazine that the project is a “love story.” She explained, “There is definitely a romantic thread weaving through it because, like all my records, it’s a reflection of where I am in my life. But this one feels especially meaningful because this feeling has stayed with me through multiple eras. That’s something I hadn’t really experienced before. A peaceful kind of love has become a theme across my last three records. Not just the love I share with someone else, but the love I’ve found for myself. That’s probably been the biggest evolution.” To celebrate the album, Cyrus will perform two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on 16 and 18 October, with rock band Model/Actriz as the special guest. “It’s been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists,” she said. “I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there.” Cyrus is engaged to musician Maxx Morando. Her previous album, Something Beautiful, came out in May 2025.
