Johnny & Lillie Flynn Announce Album Beam Cottage

Johnny Flynn and Lillie Flynn have shared details of their first collaborative album, Beam Cottage, which arrives on 6 November 2026 through Transgressive Records.

The 14-track record was produced by Charlie Andrew, whose previous credits include work with Alt-J, Marika Hackman and London Grammar. It brings together new songs, fresh recordings of duets drawn from Johnny's earlier releases, and covers of pieces the brother and sister sang together while growing up. As a first taste, they have put out the opening track, The Music Of The Spheres, an original written by Johnny with pedal steel from Joe Harvey Whyte.

The album takes its name from the thatched Hampshire house where the siblings lived as young children. Among the covers are songs by Paul Simon, Hank Williams, Billy Bragg and Johnny Mercer, plus a take on Sleepy Head, a lullaby written and first sung by their late father, the actor and musician Eric Flynn.

In a statement accompanying the announcement, the pair explain that Beam Cottage was their childhood home and that those years now feel like a happy, close-knit time before life grew more complicated and they were parted from one another.

Guests on the album include the South African vocal group The Joy, who appear on the single The Ghost Of O'Donahue, along with players from the Flynns' regular backing outfit, the River Band. Lillie takes the lead vocal on a new song, Brockwell Park, and on a version of the traditional blues folk arrangement Tell Old Bill.

A launch show at London's Royal Festival Hall on 21 November 2026 has already sold out. With demand high, a second London headline date has been added at the Union Chapel on 14 December 2026, and tickets go on general sale on 11 September.

Beam Cottage can be pre-ordered now in digital, CD and vinyl formats ahead of its November release.
