Taylor Swift Set to Rule UK Top 3 With Encore

Taylor Swift looks set to take over the top of the Official Singles Chart after releasing The Life Of A Showgirl: The Encore, the expanded deluxe version of her twelfth studio album.

Early Official Chart: First Look figures, based on initial sales and streaming reports before Friday's full rundown, put Swift in the top three places in the UK. Lead track Patient Zero enters at Number 1 and could become her eighth UK Number 1 single if it stays ahead through Friday.

Cleveland and Pink Clouding sit just behind at Number 2 and Number 3. If all three keep their pace, Swift's career totals would rise to 37 UK Top 10 singles and 64 Top 40 entries.

In the rest of the First Look Top 10, Olivia Rodrigo's Stupid Song jumps 12 places to Number 8, heading for its best position since August. Ella Langley's Choosin' Texas stays at Number 4, with Stella Lefty's Boston at Number 5 and Sienna Spiro's Great Expectation at Number 6. Rodrigo also has a second Top 10 entry as The Cure holds at Number 7, while Jamie Miller's Babydoll and Dua Lipa's Training Season complete the top ten at Number 9 and Number 10.

Lower down, Madonna is aiming for a Top 40 re-entry at Number 20 with Danceteria, helped by the arrival of her new Charli XCX collaboration remix, Danceteria Afterhours. Dance duo Cloonee & Prospa, meanwhile, move up two places to Number 27 with Good Girl featuring Tristan Henry, a possible new peak for the track.

The final positions will be confirmed when Friday's Official Singles Chart Top 100 is published.
