Rosanne Cash Postpones Shows Due to Medical Emergency

Rosanne Cash has postponed three upcoming concerts because of a “medical emergency.”

On Monday, a representative shared a statement on social media explaining that the singer had been unwell. The statement read: “Rosanne Cash must postpone her performances due to an unexpected medical emergency. She is recovering under her doctors’ supervision, who have recommended a temporary restriction on travel and performing.”

The affected shows were scheduled for this week in Wyoming and Montana. New dates have not yet been announced. The statement added: “Rosanne deeply regrets the cancellation and looks forward to rescheduling appearances.”

No further details about her condition have been released. The singer-songwriter, who is the eldest daughter of the late country musician Johnny Cash, is next due to perform in Jonesboro, Arkansas, on 19 September. She also has seven concerts planned across Europe in October.

The 71-year-old released her fourteenth studio album, She Remembers Everything, in 2018. In November 2007, the Grammy-winning artist underwent brain surgery after being diagnosed with Chiari malformation, a structural defect in the cerebellum. She made a full recovery and resumed writing and recording music the following year.
