Kelly Osbourne: Eight Months Sober After Relapse

Kelly Osbourne has opened up about a relapse she went through following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, last year.

Speaking on Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast on Tuesday, the TV personality described feeling like "a shell" of who she used to be and said she turned back to drinking as she grieved the loss of the Black Sabbath rocker, who died in July 2025.

"I was a shell of myself. I couldn't speak. I couldn't eat. I couldn't do anything. I was just empty," she said.

She went on to describe being "broken in every way a human being could possibly be broken" and unable to look after herself. "I was at ground zero. I started drinking again. I lost my mind. I couldn't handle it."

The Osbournes star, who has spoken openly about her struggles with drugs and alcohol over the years, shared that she has now been sober for eight months.

"I can honestly say today I'm eight months sober," she said. "I have the most incredible people around me. I closed my circle because I lost a lot of friends because people don't like sadness and they expected me to be over it. I will never be over it."

Kelly has been candid about her addiction battles in the past, and in 2021 she revealed that she had relapsed after four years of sobriety.

During the same interview, the 41-year-old looked back on her final conversation with the Crazy Train rocker, which took place three days before his death.

She recalled him sitting her down and telling her, "Tots, I need you to know something... No matter what happens in this life, you can live the rest of your life knowing that there was one man on this planet that truly loved you, that truly loved you for every single thing you are. And that man is me."

Kelly said she began to cry and asked him not to talk that way, because he told her he wouldn't be around forever and knew she struggled with trusting people and believing she was loved. "But I love you more than anyone," she remembered him saying. Three days later, he was gone.
